integrated researcher in the Pre-Clinical and Translational Neuroscience Group (RISE-Health | TBIO, Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto – FMUP & E2S|P.PORTO).

 

He holds a PhD in Neuroscience (FMUP) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology, with expertise in Neurophysiology and EEG. His interests include multimodal and wearable EEG, epilepsy, presurgical evaluation, cortical connectivity and sleep medicine. Since 2006, he has lectured at E2S|P.PORTO, CESPU-ESSVA and IPC-ESTeSC, coordinating 60+ course units, supervising 30+ students and serving on 60+ juries. He authored 10 peer-reviewed articles, 50+ conference papers, received 3 awards and frequently reviews for Q1/Q2 journals. Clinically, he worked 16 years in the Portuguese NHS (Neurology, Neurosurgery and Paediatrics) in multimodal EEG, epilepsy surgery and sleep medicine, supervising 125+ internships. He is active in ILAE Neurotechnology Section, the Portuguese Society of Neurology and related societies.
